Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)

On the occasion of 13th year celebration, the Gurukula Pubic School Koteshwara has signed an MoU with National Education Foundation and State University of New York to provide STEM Education for the High School Students. Sri Bhandya Subhashchandra Shetty (Chairman, Gurukula Pubic School), Smt. Anupama S Shetty (Joint Managing Trustee, Gurukula Pubic School) and Prof (Dr) Gururaj (President, NEF) signed the MoU on 8th March 2019.

The nation’s largest comprehensive public university system, The State University of New York (SUNY), was established in 1948. State University of New York employs 88,000 faculty members and is serving nearly 1.3 million students across 64 campuses in more than 7,500 degree, certificate, & continuing education programs throughout New York State. Nearly 3 million SUNY alumni are located around the globe, each making their own unique impact. Gurukula Public School has understood the need of Skills based education along with the existing Knowledge based system to enrich the learning abilities of the students to excel both in academics and professional career in the fat changing competitive era.

National Education Foundation is a non-profit leader having head office at New York, is one of the largest in the World engaged in bridging the employability, digital and academic divides by providing high quality affordable 21st centaury online education with total solution model with blended learning in education and technology and awarding certificate through State University of New York for each of the successful students.

As per the MoU, NEF/SUNY Skill Center of Excellence will be established at Gurukula Public School; Training on STEM education for 8th, 9th & 10th standard students; Faculty Development and Exchange Program on mutual discussions and need between the two institutions on case to case basis; and Training & Development Program will be provided for the supporting staff of the school. The MoU is focusing on imparting quality education with international standards, efficient training programs, global exposure and Skill development to the students, faculty and staff. The proposed STEM Education program will enhance the learning abilities of the students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, English language, Communication Skills, Critical Thinking, Decision Making Abilities, Leadership and Team Building Qualities which will support the students in their career to pursue higher education either in Engineering/Technology, Commerce, Management, etc.
