Yoga –A way of Life
The great monk from India, Swami Vivekananda once said that physical , mental, intellectual and spiritual strength are the four basic power of life . To connect these strengths, Yoga plays a predominant role in every once life irrespective cast , religions ,creed and gender . Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; though and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature ; a holistic approach to health and well being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense oneness with yourself the world and the nature .By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness it can h help in well being . Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga day. The benefits of Yoga are global health harmony and peace.
To create awareness about these importance among children, we celebrated international yoga day on 21 June 2018 during the morning assembly. All the NCC cadets had taken part in this programme and demonstrated various yogic exercises nearly two hours. Children from KG section were also participated and learnt about the important of yoga day. There were many posted slogans which gave a message about the important of yoga for younger generation . Shree AravindMarali , the principal of Gurukula Public School presided the function and had addressed about the values of yogic exercises. He also highlighted the awareness about the yoga in our day to day activities which is very important for a healthy life.
