“Flowers always make people better happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul”- Lurther Burbank.
At the beginning of chilly rain, fogy days and laziness are very much obvious. To break the monotony, Montessori Section of Gurukula Public School made the environment colourful with the celebration of Flowers Day 12-06-2017. The aim behind the celebration was that flowers can be taught very innovatively to the children which live long lasting impact on their minds and to expose them to the world of flowers .Our naughty children decorated their classrooms with different flowers. They did flower making activities like rangoli ,flowers plants etc… . Their teachers told them stories and poems related to flowers. They talked about different types of flowers, its importance and uses. Children’s smile and laughter added to the beauty of the day. The celebration was not only refreshing as the bright flowers but also helped the students to distinguish between different flowers, their textures and colours . Mrs. Anupama Shetty, Joint Managing Trustee , Bhandya Education Trust, Shri Shyju K R Nair ,The Principal of the school attended the programme and spoke about the importance of flowers.
