The school has well-designed classrooms that aid in the teaching process. Well lit and ventilated, the classrooms are equipped with the necessary infrastructure to make them comfortable for the students. Some classes are also held in the open environment of the school garden and Activity Huts to provide the students with a new environment to learn in. Activities are arranged in the school’s green campus to encourage students to interact with and learn from their natural surroundings.
The teaching staff is regularly trained in the latest teaching methodology by an international organisation, Teacher’s Foundation in Bangalore. This well-qualified and trained teaching staff ensures comprehensive mentoring of the students.
The non-teaching staff at the school also plays a crucial role in helping build the ideal learning environment. Ensuring operation, maintenance and ready available support for all the facilities in the school, they aid in the smooth functioning of the institution.


The school uses Smartclass from EDUCOMP to aid in the teaching process. Also available at the school are other Audio-Visual aids such as OHP, LCD, DVD and Colour TV. All these help the child in understanding concepts better and hence further his/her progress.


Well-equipped laboratories in the school provide the children with equipment and material to implement and explore the concepts they have learned in their theory classes.


The school has an extensive Library with books related to the curriculum, general knowledge and literature. The students are encouraged to use the library and are introduced to the habit of looking up information through project work.


The School Bus Fleet aids the children in commuting to school and back home everyday. The buses pick up and drop children back upto a radius of 20 kms around the school.


The school provides separate Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls, starting from Std VI upto Std X. The following facilities are provided to students in the hostel.
Nutritious and Hygienic Food (Veg and Non-Veg)
Good food is served in a cleanly maintained Dining Hall. Care is taken to ensure high levels of hygiene while preparing and serving food to the children.

Remedial Teaching for slow learners
Students facing difficulty in learning are provided additional support through extra teaching after school.

The Library is made available, after school, to students in the hostel. This provides them with an opportunity to extend their learning or indulge in other reading after school hours.

Extracurricular Activities
Extracurricular activities are conducted to make the stay at the hostel an enriching one. These include sessions in Yoga, Sports & Games, Music, Visual Arts, Dance and Drama.

A system has been put in place to arrange for immediate medical attention, when required in the hostel.

The school also trains students in Yoga and other sports and games. The school has a vast playground to accommodate these requirements and has a dedicated and well-qualified staff to guide the children. This training has helped many of our students in their achievements at the State and National Level.


The school organises regular Seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions and Festivals that are related to the academics and also the extracurricular. These provide a chance for the students and staff to participate in and learn from. With professionals from diverse fields participating, these activities are also an introduction to opportunities in the outside world to the students.

Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation

Gurukula is focused on the entire education lifecycle of students and has classes from pre-school, LKG and UKG and standard 1 to 10. We have also started a Pre-University college with special attention to science from the year June 2011.
